One of the joys of working in a historical period for Karen was seeing that era come alive, discovering the miniscule details of everyday life which are not exactly the same as ours – not the clothes worn, or the words used, or the way to make a cup of coffee. And somehow from those details comes a picture of life two-hundred some years ago that is different from our time and yet where the people are pretty much like us with all our foibles and generosities, and dreams.
